A Helping Hand Learning Academy was a business that started with just one student.  I always tutored my students in my classroom, but I was starting to be approached by other parents of students who were not in my class.  I wanted to help, but I couldn't do it without compensation, so I decided to charge a nominal fee to help other students who might need it.  Soon through word-of-mouth that one student became fifteen and I realized that it was something that was truly needed in the community I served.
